  1. John says:

What about your neighbors filling their swimming pool with the hose?

  2. Lehigh County Authority says:

Thank you for your question John. Lehigh County Authority and the Borough of Slatington are asking for all customers’ cooperation in conserving water over the next couple of days while the electrical problem at the treatment plant is being repaired. All customers should refrain from filling swimming pools, lawn watering, car washing, etc. as these are nonessential uses of water that will take supply away from the system that should be preserved for drinking, cooking and bathing.

All customers were notified by phone yesterday of this emergency, and another notice will be issued when the problem has been corrected. In the meantime, we ask all customers to work together to conserve water as much as possible. Please feel free to print a copy of our web page to share with neighbors whom you think may not have received the message. Thank you!
