More rain barrels available – reserve yours today!

One of our customers set up two rain barrels to fill simultaneously by linking them together.

Once again, the Authority is providing rain barrels free of charge. They are available for pick-up at our office by appointment only (no walk-ins). Although our previous rain barrel program included an entire installation kit, this time around we’re providing just the barrels. The materials to set up the system cost about $25 and are available at most hardware stores.

The rain barrels are easy to link to your spouting (see the instructions at right; for a handy tip sheet, click here) and are a great way to conserve water while keeping your flowers, lawn, or vegetable garden happy. They’re also an excellent way to help maintain a buffer zone and keep runoff out of our waterways.
